Depart Sydney, drive across the northern suburbs to the Koala Sanctuary to observe cute Australian marsupials. In historic Windsor stroll along the mall, then travel across the mighty Hawkesbury River up on to the sandstone plateau of the Blue Mountains, 1000 metres above sea level with deep canyons and eucalyptus forests, listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Area. Enjoy lunch at an English garden followed by a visit to Govetts Leap, overlooking the “Grand Canyon”. A breathtaking run on the Sceniscender cable-car takes you down to a boardwalk lined by lush vegetation and ferntrees. After a leisurely stroll take the scenic rail back to the top. The famous “The Three Sisters” tell a story of mythical times. Travel through the village of Leura and after a side trip into Olympic Park, arrive back in Sydney.
