For 2012 we changed the name of our very popular "Palmerston Jungle Experience" as Wooroonooran National Park has been long declared a World Heritage listed park by UNESCO.
Your driver-guide picks you up from your hotel. Travel via Gordonvale into the Atherton Tableland with its interesting volkanic peaks, crater lakes and national reserves. Walk at Lake Eacham in highland rainforest and learn about the volcanic activity in the last 2 mill years. Then visit the famous Curtain Fig Tree. After lunch a brief stop at Milla Milla Falls, and through dense rainforest drive to Wooroonooran National Park (UNESCO-World Heritage). Take in the unic plant life of the Johnstone River Valley on the spectacular Mamu Canopy Tree Top Walk. A walk to Josephine Falls dwarfed by Mt Bartle Frere, with 1622 m highest peak in Queenslands, finishes your activities for today. Then travel back to Cairns. Hotel transfers.
