Day 1: Arrive in Alice Springs
Fly into Alice Springs any time today and check into your accommodation at leisure. The centrally located Mercure Hotel is a great jumping off ppint to enjoy a wander around this interesting, laid back and qunitessentially Aussie outback town.

Day 2: Alice Springs - Glen Helen Gorge
Shortly after an included breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up along with your fellow participants, for this journey through the heart of Australia. We will start with a short sightseeing tour of Alice, before we head out to the Telegraph station, the “founding” site of the town. We will then continue on to the Simpson’s Gap in the Western MacDonnell Ranges National park where we might be lucky enough to spot a rock Wallaby, during the short walk.
Continuing on to Ellery Creek Big hole, if the conditions are right, you might like a swim in this outback oasis. The perfect cool down ahead of the moderate 2.5km, 1.5hr walk Ghostgum walk at Ormiston Gorge.
We will finish the day at our new accommodation for the evening, at Glen Helen Resort, where dinner will be included

Day 3: Glen Helen - Wararrka National Park (Kings Canyon)
How about starting the day with a clensing river swim at the nearby Glen Helen Gorge before we head deeper into the red? After breakfast (included) it is time to tackle one Australia’s most iconic and remote roads, the Mereenie Loop.
The road takes us into Watarrka National Park and on to the famed King’s Canyon plateau. We wil enjoy the 2-3 hr walk through the Canyon, where you will get the chance to finally see the true nature of the NT.
The dramatic sandstone domes lead us to the “Lost City” where visitor’s will get to experience a desert that is alive with colour, texture and spirit.
After a full day of adventure, we will finish up at the nearby King’s Canyon resort, for a group dinner, and a chance to share the day’s highlights with new friends.

Day 4: Watarrka - Uluru Kata-Tjuta National Park
This morning we will drive past the rolling red sand dunes and the dry salt lakes to see Kata-Tjuta (the Olgas) in all it’s glory. The Valley of the Winds walk is about 1-2 hours and well worth the effort, to get up to the look out.
The afternoon / evening will be one to remember as we enjoy the sunset at Uluru (Ayers Rock). This must be one of the most recognisable natural sites on the planet and we will follow up the remarkable desert sunset, with the unforgettable “Sound of Silence” billion star dining experience.

Day 5: Uluru
Wringing what we can out of the day, we will be up early to see sunrise on the rock, before a relaxed pace walk to a water hole and some art sights. There will be time to check out the award-winning Cultural Centre as well.
For those flying out of Yulara, we will drop you off at the airport, otherwise for those who want a lift back to Alice, we will take the highway, and be back in AS by mid afternoon.
