Since 1986, Waratah Adventures have been leading small group tours of Australia’s most iconic locations, with a mission to make adventure comfortable.

As part of the JOOB Travel Group, along with our Sister company Inspiration Outdoors we employ more than 45 tour guides across the country with permanent depots in Melbourne, Hobart, Alice Springs, Cairns, Fremantle and Broome, and seasonal depots in Darwin, Adelaide, and Launceston.

We are Australian adventure professionals. It is all we do, and we do it well.

Is a Waratah Adventure Tour for you?

We take just 12-15 passengers maximum on any one tour. Generally, we craft our packages to include accommodation before and after your tour, so that booking your next adventure is as simple as possible. Our tour designs always include the must see destinations as well as some of the hidden gems and we aim for 4 star accommodation where we can get it. We always do our best to keep the price reasonable, without cutting the tours down to the bare bones.

If your perfect day includes a bit of sightseeing, maybe a short stroll, great accommodation and sharing a meal with new friends at the end of the day, you are in the right place.

With expert commentary, exceptionally well trained tour guides, our tours combine adventure and comfort to the perfect degree.

Prior to 2020, Waratah Adventure Tours was 100% focused on leading tours for European travellers coming to Australia. We are now looking forward to a future where both local Australians and overseas guests get to experience Australia’s most iconic destinations together.

Our friendly adventure consultants are split between Sydney and Perth, giving you the ability to speak with someone about your upcoming adventure between 9am and 5pm no matter where you are in Australia.

We can’t wait to meet you!

Our Team:

Simon Mendelawitz – CEO / Perth based

Simon
My journey into tourism started with a 1000km hike on the Bibbulmun track, western Australia in 2008. It was a walk of 59 days and a journey from which I’ve never really returned. Shifting from industrial logistics to Tourism in 2010, was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My background in operations and safety have been a great grounding in our mission to bring adventure into everyday people’s lives.  It is a wonderful industry to be involved in, and I am passionate about ensuring our guests and guides get the most out of their experience with the JOOB Travel Co

Ines Gormley: National Sales & Customer Relations Manager / Sydney based

For the JOOB Travel Company I lead the Sales and Reservations team and run the Sydney office. I feel lucky to work with such knowledgeable & enthusiastic tour consultants who are based in both our offices on the East and West Coast of Australia. My main passion is in international relations & partnerships, sales, business development and coaching.  We make travel adventure dreams come true here at JOOB.
